Bandhan Bank Donates Advanced Life Support Ambulance to Dakshineswar Kali Temple

Kolkata, October 9, 2026: Bandhan Bank has donated an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance to the historic Dakshineswar Kali Temple in Kolkata as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The initiative aims to strengthen emergency healthcare services and ensure timely medical assistance for devotees and the wider community.

The ambulance was formally handed over by Partha Pratim Sengupta, MD & CEO, Bandhan Bank, and Ratan Kumar Kesh, ED & COO, Bandhan Bank, to Kushal Chowdhury, Chairman, Settlor and Convenor of the Lokamata Rani Rashmoni Foundation, Dakshineswar, and Joyiti Choudhury, Trustee Member of the Foundation. Senior dignitaries from the temple and the bank were also present on the occasion.

The donation forms part of Bandhan Bank’s nationwide CSR initiative to deploy 24 Advanced Life Support ambulances across India. The programme is designed to enhance emergency medical response capabilities, improve access to critical care and strengthen healthcare infrastructure for communities across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Partha Pratim Sengupta, MD & CEO of Bandhan Bank, said the initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to strengthening emergency medical response systems. He also expressed honour at associating with the historic and revered Dakshineswar Kali Temple, highlighting its deep spiritual and cultural significance. He added that the bank’s commitment to inclusive development extends beyond banking, with a focus on creating meaningful social impact.

Bandhan Bank’s CSR programmes have positively impacted more than 29.62 lakh families across 84 districts in 22 states and Union Territories. The bank focuses on women and rural communities through initiatives in healthcare, education, livelihood generation and climate resilience.

Through the donation, Bandhan Bank aims to contribute to improved emergency preparedness and accessible critical healthcare, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive growth and community development.
