At the 49th International Kolkata Book Fair, Ambuja Neotia unveiled the second edition of Woods & Wonders, a thoughtfully curated initiative that reinforces the Group’s long-held philosophy that progress and nature must coexist. Titled Woods & Wonders 2.0, the exhibition reflects a growing movement that finds meaning, creativity and community in harmony with the natural world.
More than a visual showcase, Woods & Wonders is an invitation to slow down and observe—to listen to forests, rivers, open skies and living greens when they are allowed to breathe. After striking a deep chord with audiences during its debut last year, the second edition returns with greater depth and sensitivity, offering visitors an immersive glimpse into the lesser-known ecological richness of Raichak on Ganges.
Located at Stall No. 290 near Gate No. 5, the exhibition brings together evocative photographs, films and paintings capturing the flora, fauna and living landscapes around Gardenia Private Villas, Ambuja Neotia’s nature-immersed enclave at Raichak. Framed by expansive greens, open skies and the quiet presence of the Ganges, each artwork presents nature not as a backdrop, but as a living, breathing entity deserving understanding and respect.
The exhibition draws inspiration from Green Gallery 2.0, a two-day creative immersion held earlier this month at Gardenia Private Villas. Artists, photographers and filmmakers engaged closely with the landscape, observing its biodiversity through their own distinctive lenses and rhythms. The result is a layered body of work where every frame and canvas tells a unique story—one that acknowledges nature’s fragility, resilience and enduring presence.
The stall was inaugurated in the presence of eminent guests from diverse fields, including urban planners, conservation advocates, cultural thinkers and artists, all united by a shared commitment to nature and society.
Speaking at the inauguration, Debashish Sen, Former CMD of HIDCO and Chairman of NKDA, highlighted the broader relevance of the initiative. He remarked that Woods & Wonders exemplifies how thoughtful development can evolve into a living ecosystem—one that inspires creativity, reflection and responsibility. According to him, the initiative brings nature closer to people not as something to be consumed, but as a shared inheritance to be understood and protected.
The occasion also marked the release of a coffee table book documenting Green Gallery 2.0. Elaborating on the vision behind the project, Vijay Shankar Dwivedi, Senior Vice President – Corporate Affairs, Ambuja Neotia, said the initiative was never about showcasing a property, but about revealing a relationship with place. He explained that artists were encouraged to immerse themselves in Raichak’s ecology and respond organically to its biodiversity, light, silence and movement—resulting in quiet narratives that celebrate harmony between human creativity and nature.
