Pt. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Srivastava Conferred with “Jyotish Mahamahopadhyaya” Award

Kanpur, August 27, 2025: Pt. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Srivastava, a renowned scholar and practitioner of Jyotish (Vedic Astrology), has been honoured with the prestigious “Jyotish Mahamahopadhyaya” Award, one of the highest recognitions in the field of Astrology and Ancient Indian Knowledge.

The honour was presented at the 75th National Jyotish Conference, jointly organized by the Padmesh Institute of Vedic Sciences and the Soumitra Dubey Foundation. The ceremony was attended by Former Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Dinesh Sharma, along with Shri K. A. Padmesh Dubey, revered as the “Bhishma Pitamah of Jyotish,” and several eminent dignitaries.

Expressing his gratitude, Pt. Dr. Srivastava said, “This recognition is beyond my imagination. Only Gurudev’s blessings made this possible. It is not just an accolade but a sacred responsibility to illuminate lives, inspire growth, and uphold the rich legacy of Jyotish for generations to come.”

The title “Jyotish Mahamahopadhyaya”, literally meaning “Grand Master of the Lamp”, is a Sanskrit honorific reserved for experts demonstrating profound mastery in Jyotish. The recognition strengthens Dr. Srivastava’s mission of “Every Home, One Astrologer”, aiming to make the wisdom of astrology accessible across the globe.

He dedicated the award to his Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Ji, as well as his family, students, and well-wishers, acknowledging their support in his spiritual and professional journey.
