Kolkata, April 19, 2026: Marking a significant step toward strengthening women-led entrepreneurship, the Kolkata Ladies League (KLL) was officially launched in the city through a vibrant and celebratory event. The all-women collective, already comprising over 60 members from diverse professional and business backgrounds, aims to foster collaboration, resource-sharing, and sustainable growth across enterprises of all sizes.
Designed as a dynamic platform, KLL seeks to bring together women from varied industries to enable networking, knowledge exchange, and mutual support. The initiative focuses on empowering members to scale their businesses while building a strong ecosystem rooted in cooperation rather than competition.
The launch event was attended by several prominent figures, including Aditi Dutta, Founding Member and Owner of Akar; Swati Chakraborty Das, Owner of Mishti Bahar; Nandini Bhattacharya, Founder of All Bengal Men’s Forum; Moumita Mukherjee, Founder of Sristi Boutique; and Soma Chakraborty, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Goodace Hospital, among others.
The occasion was marked by a special Baishakhi Adda, celebrating the spirit of the Bengali New Year while encouraging meaningful interactions among members and guests. The event also highlighted social inclusivity through warm engagement with the elderly residents of “Tomar Tikhana,” adding a deeper community dimension to the gathering.
Serving as a platform for dialogue, idea exchange, and business networking, the event facilitated new opportunities for collaboration and growth—reinforcing KLL’s vision of building a supportive environment for women entrepreneurs.
Speaking at the launch, Soma Chakraborty said,
“Initiatives like the Kolkata Ladies League are the need of the hour. While women across sectors are building impactful businesses, many still lack a strong support system. KLL is envisioned as a space where women can come together, share resources, exchange experiences, and uplift one another. The overwhelming response reaffirms our belief that collaboration, not competition, will drive meaningful growth.”
With a strong foundation and a clear vision, the Kolkata Ladies League is set to emerge as a catalyst for empowering women entrepreneurs and redefining collaborative business growth in the region.
