The panel emphasized the role of cinema in creating social awareness and emotional sensitivity towards rare and autoimmune diseases.
In the second phase of the event, a symbolic ramp walk was organized to honour patients who have battled autoimmune diseases. Their inspiring stories of struggle, courage and recovery deeply moved the audience. AIIR also felicitated women who successfully embraced motherhood while fighting serious health conditions.

The cultural segment featured music, dance, poetry and theatrical performances portraying the emotional and social journeys of patients living with autoimmune disorders. The event concluded with a performance of the renowned dance drama “Chandalika,” in which an AIIR patient played the lead role.
Organizers stated that autoimmune diseases impact not only the body but also the mental, social and family life of patients. Through such initiatives, AIIR aims to spread awareness, empathy, dignity and social acceptance for people battling these conditions.
