At a time when crimes against women and incidents of violence are making national headlines, a crucial press conference has been announced in Hazra, Kolkata. Organized by Hazra Sadar Abarthina Samiti, the event aims to address the alarming rise in atrocities against women and demand stronger legal and social safeguards.
The organizers highlighted the recent incident in Uttar Pradesh involving a minor girl—an incident that has triggered outrage across the country. Activists assert that crimes targeting women must be confronted with uncompromising firmness, and society must stand united against such injustice.
The press conference will be held on December 15, Monday, at Hazra More, opposite Titan showroom, from 2 PM onward. Students, women’s groups, district representatives, and concerned citizens are expected to gather in large numbers to raise their voice for justice, equality, and women’s empowerment.
