
Kolkata, June 7, 2026: The Calcutta Electric Dealers Association (CEDA) successfully hosted its 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at The Astor Hotel, Kolkata, bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, traders, and corporate representatives from across the electrical sector.
The event was graced by Shri Dilip Ghosh, Cabinet Minister, Government of West Bengal, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished Guests of Honour included Shri Sunil Singhi, Chairman of the National Traders Welfare Board; Shri Santosh Pathak, Councillor of Ward No. 45; Shri Subhas Agarwala, CMD of Maithan Alloys Limited; and Shri Babiranjan Tripathi, Senior General Manager of KEI Industries Limited.
The AGM commenced with a welcome address by CEDA President Abhishek Verma, who highlighted the Association’s commitment to strengthening the electrical industry in West Bengal. Dignitaries were felicitated with shawls, mementos, and replicas of the Ram Mandir in recognition of their contributions.
Driving Industrial Growth in West Bengal
The Association reiterated its vision of fostering stronger collaboration between the state government and major electrical industry corporates to attract investments and position West Bengal as the “Electrical Capital of India.”

Election Chairman H. K. Mishra announced the newly elected office-bearers for the 2026–27 term:
