Kolkata: With the political temperature rising after voting in the 2026 Assembly elections, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) state president Sandeep Dhar has made a bold claim — West Bengal is on the brink of historic change.

Speaking with confidence, Dhar said the high voter turnout reflects a clear message from the people. According to him, voters have chosen change after years of dissatisfaction.

“The people were troubled. This time, they have voted for change. When the EVMs open, the lotus will bloom. NDA’s victory is certain. May 4 will mark a new sunrise for Bengal,” Dhar said.

TMC Under Fire: “Signs of Panic Visible”

Targeting the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), Dhar claimed the party’s frustration is now evident.

“TMC’s frustration is clearly visible. After 15 years in power, people are seeking new hope. Even their ground-level support is weakening,” he alleged.

Key Political Meeting in Delhi Today

Amid the election buzz, HAM is holding an important national executive meeting today at the Parliament Annexe in New Delhi.

  • Chair: Santosh Kumar Suman
  • Chief Guest: Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi

The meeting is expected to play a key role in shaping the party’s future political strategy in West Bengal and other states.

Countdown to Results

  • Vote Counting: May 4, 2026
  • High Turnout: Seen by many analysts as a sign of anti-incumbency
  • Main Contest: NDA alliance vs TMC’s 15-year rule

As the state awaits the results, Dhar urged citizens to remain calm and trust the democratic process.

All eyes are now on May 4 — a day that could significantly shape the future of West Bengal politics.
