In a significant push to strengthen its presence in Eastern India’s fast-growing electric mobility market, Ultraviolette Automotive has launched its second experience centre in Kolkata. Branded as a UV Space Station, the new facility marks a strategic expansion of the company’s retail and customer engagement network in the city.
Located in a prime urban hub, the newly inaugurated UV Space Station aims to deliver a comprehensive, end-to-end brand experience—bringing together product discovery, personalized consultation, and after-sales support under one roof. The centre has been launched in partnership with dealer KGN Automobiles EV, further strengthening the company’s on-ground presence in the region.
At the heart of the experience centre are Ultraviolette’s flagship performance electric motorcycles—the X-47 Crossover and F77—both now available for customers in Kolkata. Designed to redefine electric performance, these machines boast a powerful 40.2 hp motor delivering 100 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Equipped with a robust 10.3 kWh battery pack, the motorcycles offer an impressive IDC-certified range of up to 323 km on a single charge.
The UV Space Station is not just a showroom but an immersive ecosystem for enthusiasts and buyers alike. Customers can access personalized test rides, expert assistance, and a full suite of genuine accessories and service support. The facility reflects Ultraviolette’s commitment to enhancing the entire customer lifecycle—from first interaction to ownership and beyond.
Speaking on the occasion, Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, highlighted Kolkata’s importance in the company’s growth strategy. He noted that the city represents a rapidly evolving market where consumers are increasingly drawn to cutting-edge technology, performance, and design in mobility solutions. He added that the second outlet reinforces the company’s intent to build a future-ready, high-quality retail network across India.
A key highlight of the showcased X-47 Crossover is its industry-first integration of radar-based safety technology. Powered by Ultraviolette’s proprietary UV Radar Intelligence, the motorcycle features a 77 GHz rear radar system combined with the HyperSense Advanced Rider Assistance System. This enables advanced functionalities such as blind-spot detection, lane-change assist, overtake alerts, and rear collision warnings—setting a new benchmark in rider safety within the EV segment.
The motorcycle also features a 5-inch TFT display, multiple ride modes, long-travel suspension, and all-terrain radial tyres, ensuring superior control and adaptability across diverse road conditions. Complementing this is an integrated dashcam system and one of the world’s most power-dense air-cooled onboard chargers, all engineered in-house.
Further enhancing accessibility, Ultraviolette recently introduced its innovative Battery Flex (BaaS) ownership model. Under this flexible scheme, customers can own the X-47 Crossover starting at ₹1.49 lakh, with a separate battery subscription beginning at ₹2,499 per month. This approach significantly lowers the entry barrier, enabling a wider audience to embrace high-performance electric mobility.
