Kolkata, July 28, 2026: Nissan Motor India has officially unveiled the all-new Nissan TEKTON, its flagship premium C-SUV, at its World Premiere in India, marking a significant milestone in the company’s India resurgence strategy. The SUV has been launched at an introductory price starting from ₹10.49 lakh for the T160 Manual variant and ₹14.99 lakh for the T280 range.
Manufactured at Nissan’s Chennai plant under the brand’s “One Car, One World” philosophy, the TEKTON has been developed for both Indian customers and global export markets, reinforcing India’s growing role in Nissan’s worldwide manufacturing network.
Inspired by the legendary Nissan Patrol, the TEKTON features a bold SUV design with signature C-shaped LED lighting, a muscular stance, premium tri-tone interiors and a commanding road presence. Nissan says the new SUV blends Japanese craftsmanship, advanced technology and everyday practicality.
The TEKTON is the only SUV in its segment to offer a 100% turbocharged engine lineup, featuring the Turbo T160 and Turbo T280 petrol engines. The flagship T280 delivers 163 PS of power and 280 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed wet-clutch Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The T160 offers fuel efficiency of 19.4 kmpl, while the T280 returns 18.5 kmpl.
Inside, the SUV boasts a premium cabin with Google built-in connectivity, allowing access to Google Maps, Google Assistant and over 200 apps via Google Play. Other highlights include dual digital displays, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated powered seats, 48-color ambient lighting, Arkamys 3D surround sound system, wireless charging and an intelligent air purifier.
Safety remains a key focus, with 6 airbags as standard, over 40 safety features, 17+ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Warning and a 360-degree Around View Monitor.
The TEKTON also offers 700 litres of boot space, 212 mm ground clearance and best-in-segment approach and departure angles, making it suitable for both urban commuting and long-distance travel.
Speaking at the global unveiling, Guillaume Cartier, Chief Performance Officer of Nissan, said the launch reflects the company’s commitment to building a stronger and more competitive SUV portfolio in India. Nissan officials also highlighted India’s growing importance as a manufacturing and export hub for global markets.
The Kolkata launch took place at the newly inaugurated Autorelli Nissan showroom in Rajarhat, attended by senior Nissan executives and dealership representatives. Dealer Principal Ashnut Chopra said the new facility reflects Nissan’s commitment to delivering a premium ownership experience in Eastern India.
