The City of Joy has a brand-new reason to celebrate its flavours, memories, and charm. Kolkata Uncut South Kolkata’s newest Bengali fine dining destination has opened its doors, promising an unfiltered, unforgettable culinary journey through Bengal’s rich heritage. The grand launch was graced by popular actor Biswanath Basu alongside the restaurant’s proud owner, Varsha Chakraborty.

Occupying 1,000 sq ft with seating for 60 guests, Kolkata Uncut is not just a restaurant it’s a time capsule of old Kolkata. Every corner tells a story, and every plate carries the essence of the city’s most cherished tastes. The restaurant offers both buffet and à la carte menus, with prices starting at an astonishing ₹60, making gourmet Bengali dining accessible to all.

From the fragrant Basanti Pulao and Chingrir Pulao to the iconic Kosha Mangsho, Daab Murgi, Doi Ilish, Gondhoraj Chicken, Shorshe Ilish, and more, the spread is a tribute to Bengal’s culinary artistry. Adding to the experience are refreshing drinks like Aam Pora Shorbot and Gondhoraj Ghol, alongside decadent desserts such as Baked Rosogolla and Baked Mihi Dana. Chinese cuisine lovers are not left behind, with a range of dishes starting at just ₹130.

“At Kolkata Uncut, we want to bring Kolkata alive in its purest, most heartfelt from the Hooghly Bridge to Victoria Memorial—through flavours that touch the soul,” said Varsha Chakraborty.

Opening just ahead of Durga Puja, Kolkata Uncut is perfectly timed to capture the festive spirit. With its soulful ambience, heritage-inspired décor, and irresistible dishes, it promises to be more than a dining destination—it’s an emotional journey for every Bengali.
