Kolkata, April 9, 2026: Blue Star Limited has announced the launch of its comprehensive new range of Unitary Cooling products for the Summer 2026 season, reinforcing its leadership in India’s rapidly expanding cooling solutions market.

125 Models of Room Air Conditioners Introduced

The company unveiled an extensive portfolio of 125 Room Air Conditioner models, spanning inverter, fixed-speed, and window ACs across multiple price points. The new range fully complies with the latest energy efficiency norms set by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, effective January 1, 2026.

A key highlight is the premium ‘Iconia’ series, featuring a sleek Midnight Silver finish aimed at high-end consumers.

Focus on Energy Efficiency and Performance

Blue Star’s flagship offerings include:

  • Super Energy-Efficient ACs with Dynamic Drive Technology, delivering enhanced airflow and achieving an ISEER rating of up to 6.25, making them significantly more efficient than standard 3-star inverter ACs.
  • Heavy-Duty ACs designed to operate in extreme temperatures up to 56°C, ensuring consistent cooling even under harsh conditions.
  • Hot & Cold ACs suitable for year-round use, capable of functioning in temperatures as low as -15°C.
  • Anti-Virus Technology ACs, which improve indoor air quality through advanced filtration and purification modes.

Nearly 50 models are Smart WiFi-enabled, offering AI-driven cooling, voice control, customised sleep modes, and energy management systems.

Industry Growth and Market Outlook

India’s room AC industry continues to witness strong structural growth, driven by rising incomes, urbanisation, and increasing climate variability. The market is projected to expand from around 14 million units to 30 million units by FY2030, with Tier 3, 4, and 5 markets emerging as major growth drivers.

Manufacturing Expansion to Meet Demand

To support growing demand, Blue Star has strengthened its manufacturing capabilities. The company currently has a production capacity of 1.4 million units, scalable to 1.8 million units.

Its key facilities include a state-of-the-art plant in Sri City and two additional plants in Himachal Pradesh, equipped with advanced automation, IoT integration, and digital manufacturing systems.
