The City of Joy witnessed a cinematic celebration as Bollywood stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Sara Ali Khan visited Kolkata to promote their upcoming film ‘Metro…इन दिनों’, directed by the acclaimed Anurag Basu. The two day promotional tour was marked by star-studded events, cultural engagement, and an overwhelming response from fans.
The promotional campaign began with an exclusive dinner hosted by cricket icon Sourav Ganguly. The evening was a perfect blend of cinema and culture, where the actors shared insights about the film and unveiled a special preview of the trailer. Impressed by the storytelling and performances, Ganguly extended his best wishes to the cast and expressed his anticipation for the film’s release.
On the following day, the stars connected with the city’s vibrant youth through interactive sessions at leading colleges. From impromptu singing and lighthearted conversations to countless selfies, Aditya and Sara brought infectious energy to every event. The actors also engaged with regional media, participated in press briefings, and took time to explore the essence of Kolkata clicking pictures with the city’s iconic yellow taxis and metro stations, capturing the local spirit.
‘Metro…इन दिनों’ is a contemporary anthology drama that delves into the complexities of modern relationships, marked by moments of love, longingand human connection. With soulful music composed by Pritam and Anurag Basu’s signature narrative style, the film is expected to strike a deep emotional chord with audiences.
