Mumbai-born patisserie brand to launch outlets in Salt Lake and New Alipore on October 30
KOLKATA, October 28, 2026: Theobroma, the Mumbai-born patisserie brand renowned for its signature brownies, is set to make its Kolkata debut with the opening of its first two stores in the city on Friday, October 30. Located in Salt Lake and New Alipore, the new outlets mark the brand’s entry into Eastern India.
The announcement was made by Rishi Gour, CEO of Theobroma, in the presence of actress Sauraseni Maitra, who attended the store launch event.
Both outlets will operate in a bakery format, offering dine-in, takeaway and delivery services. Customers will be able to explore the brand’s extensive menu, featuring cakes, pastries, brownies, cookies, savouries, sandwiches and beverages, all freshly baked every day.
Among the highlights are Theobroma’s popular Overload and Millionaire brownies, along with its Dutch Truffle and Tiramisu. The stores will also offer festive gift boxes and hampers, available both in-store and through delivery, catering to celebrations and gifting occasions.
The Kolkata launch follows growing anticipation among the city’s residents. Earlier this month, a video showing a Theobroma signboard being installed in Kolkata went viral on social media, reflecting the excitement surrounding the brand’s arrival.
