Agarpaarha Art Competition Highlights Importance of Child Protection Laws  By Molla Jasimuddin  Kolkata, October 4, 2026: A vibrant Camel Drawing Competition was organised on Friday at Ganguly Para in Agarpara, North 24 Parganas, bringing together around 100 young participants for a colourful celebration of creativity and imagination.  The event was graced by Mohammad Nurjaman Khan, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), North 24 Parganas, as the chief guest. Addressing the young artists, he highlighted the importance of child protection laws and urged children to speak openly with their parents whenever they face any difficulty or problem, rather than keeping it hidden out of fear.  The competition was organised in three categories for students from KG to Class VI. Renowned artist and chief judge Gouranga Debsharma gave the participants complete creative freedom with the theme, “In the Imagination of the Mind, in the Alpana of the Mind — Draw What You Dream.” With no fixed subject, the children enthusiastically welcomed the opportunity to express their imagination freely, filling the venue with excitement and joy.  The children's enthusiasm brought immense happiness to Dipankar Samaddar, Principal of Charuchandra Art Centre, which organised the event. On behalf of the centre, Jhuma Samaddar felicitated the chief guest and the chief judge. Sujit Kumar Hatua represented Camel at the event and was also welcomed by the organisers.
