JIS Education Expo 2026 – Kalyani Edition Becomes a Grand Platform for Higher Education and Career Guidance

Kalyani, July 10: JIS College of Engineering successfully hosted the JIS Education Expo 2026 – Kalyani Edition, one of Eastern India’s largest education expos, bringing together students, parents, educators and academic leaders for a day dedicated to higher education, innovation and career planning.

Organised by JIS Group Educational Initiatives, the mega event was inaugurated by Sri Anupam Biswas, MLA of Kalyani Assembly Constituency, Swami Durganathananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Kalyani, Prof. (Dr.) Partha Sarkar, Principal of JIS College of Engineering, and Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director of JIS Group, along with senior officials of the Group.

The education expo attracted enthusiastic participation from students representing schools across Nadia, North 24 Parganas and Hooghly, providing them with an opportunity to explore higher education options through expert guidance, personalised counselling and interactive learning sessions.

A major attraction of the event was the participation of 39 educational institutions offering 185 academic programmes, showcasing JIS Group’s diverse portfolio of diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses within an academic ecosystem of more than 45,000 students.

Visitors interacted directly with faculty members, admission counsellors and academic experts through dedicated institutional stalls, gaining valuable insights into emerging disciplines, admission procedures, career prospects and future-ready educational pathways.

One of the highlights of the Expo was the felicitation of over 1,200 Class X and Class XII toppers from 60 schools across Nadia, North 24 Parganas and Hooghly. The ceremony celebrated academic excellence while encouraging students to pursue higher goals in education.

The event also featured expert panel discussions, one-on-one career counselling sessions and hands-on workshops that helped students make informed decisions about stream selection, career planning and emerging industry opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director of JIS Group, said the Education Expo has grown into a meaningful platform where students’ aspirations connect with opportunities. He noted that the overwhelming response from students, parents and educators in Kalyani reflects JIS Group’s commitment to expanding quality education beyond metropolitan cities and nurturing the next generation of leaders, professionals and innovators.
