
Howrah, West Bengal: An FIR has reportedly been registered against Nazia Elahi at Malipanchghora Police Station after allegations surfaced that she made objectionable and inflammatory remarks about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Members of a local socio-religious organization have alleged that the statements were capable of disturbing communal harmony and inciting unrest in West Bengal.
The complaint was submitted by Anjuman Ghulamane Panjtan Baitulmal, whose representatives handed over a memorandum to the Officer-in-Charge of Malipanchghora Police Station, demanding immediate and stringent legal action. The organization alleged that the remarks had deeply hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslim community and called for action under the relevant provisions of law.
The memorandum was presented under the leadership of chief guest Advocate Md Arif Khan. Prominent attendees included Advocate Ataul Mustafa, Alhaj Shamim Chishti, Advocate Shahid Shafi, Dr. Wasif Akhtar, social worker Badru Doja Ansari, Chairman Imtiaz Ansari, Secretary Ata Mohammad, Shamima Khan, Abdul Qaiyum Ansari, Khadim Shahid Baba Mazar, Rafiq Malik, and several other community leaders and dignitaries, who expressed solidarity in demanding legal action.

Addressing the gathering, representatives of the organization urged the state administration and law enforcement agencies to conduct a fair and impartial investigation into the allegations. They maintained that any attempt to make provocative statements capable of disrupting communal peace should be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.
As of now, the police have not issued an official statement confirming the details of the FIR or commenting on the allegations. The matter is expected to be investigated following due legal procedure.
