JIS Education Expo 2026 Opens in Kolkata, Showcasing 39 Institutions and 185 Academic Programmes

Kolkata, 22 June 2026: The JIS Education Expo 2026 opened today in the city, emerging as one of Eastern India’s largest educational platforms aimed at guiding students toward informed academic and career choices. The two-day expo brings together students, parents, educators, and academic leaders for an extensive showcase of higher education opportunities and future-ready learning pathways.

The expo was inaugurated in the presence of several distinguished guests, including Samik Bhattacharya, noted actor Sabyasachi Chakraborty, former Brazilian footballer José Ramirez Barreto, along with senior leadership of JIS Group including Managing Director Sardar Taranjit Singh, Joint Managing Director Sardar Haranjit Singh, and other dignitaries. The ceremony also witnessed the participation of Swami Suparnanada Ji Maharaj.

This year’s edition features participation from 39 educational institutions offering 185 programmes across disciplines including engineering, management, law, science, humanities, healthcare, and professional studies. Dedicated pavilions have been set up to allow direct interaction between students and representatives from universities, faculty members, admission teams, and career counsellors.

A key highlight of the inaugural day was the felicitation of meritorious Class X and Class XII students from across West Bengal. The recognition ceremony celebrated academic excellence and aimed to inspire students to pursue higher goals with dedication and consistency.

The expo also offers free personalised counselling sessions, where students and parents can receive expert guidance on course selection, admissions, scholarships, skill development, and long-term career planning. Organisers said the initiative is designed to help students navigate the evolving demands of the global job market.

Speaking at the inauguration, Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director of JIS Group, said the initiative goes beyond traditional education fairs. “Education is not just about degrees, but about discovering potential and preparing for future opportunities. Through this expo, we aim to help students explore possibilities and make informed decisions that shape their future,” he said.

The JIS Education Expo 2026 continues over the next two days, offering an expanded platform for academic exploration, skill awareness, and career guidance.
