Kolkata, May 30: In a significant step towards strengthening the sporting ecosystem and nurturing future talent, Hindusthan Club inaugurated its modern “Bulls Eye Rifle Shooting Arena”, a world-class 10-Metre Air Rifle & Pistol Shooting Facility, reaffirming its commitment to promoting excellence in sports and providing professional training opportunities to aspiring shooters.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by several eminent personalities, including Mr. Solomon Nesakumar, IPS, Additional Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, whose support played a key role in the project. The event was also attended by Mr. Deb Kumar Samanta, Secretary General of the West Bengal Rifle Association, along with senior club officials and distinguished guests.
Among those present were Mr. Sanjiv Goenka, President of Hindusthan Club, Shri C.S. Sarda, Mr. Kamal Ghelani, Honorary Secretary, Ms. Swati Bihani, Joint Secretary, and Sports Chairpersons Mr. Jigar Malani and Mr. Vaibhav Nahata.
The newly inaugurated arena is designed to meet professional training standards and aims to provide young shooters with access to modern infrastructure, structured coaching, and a competitive environment to hone their skills. The facility is expected to play a vital role in encouraging participation in shooting sports, one of India’s fastest-growing disciplines.
