KRITANJ 2026 Ignites Innovation: 5,000+ Students Converge at Narula Institute of Technology for Eastern India’s Premier Tech Fest

Kolkata, 30 May 2026: Innovation, technology, and youthful ambition took center stage as Narula Institute of Technology (NiT), a JIS Group educational initiative, successfully hosted its flagship Tech-Management Festival, KRITANJ 2026. Drawing participation from over 5,000 students from engineering colleges across Eastern India, the two-day event transformed the campus into a vibrant arena of groundbreaking ideas, technical excellence, and collaborative learning.

The festival was inaugurated in the presence of distinguished Guests of Honour, Bipul De, Assistant Director of MSME-Development Institute, Kolkata, and Arjun Dutta, Founder and Product Architect of IQApex Labs. Their presence added industry insight and inspiration to an event that has steadily evolved into one of the region’s most anticipated student-driven technology and management festivals.

Featuring more than 50 competitions and events, KRITANJ 2026 offered students a unique platform to showcase their creativity, leadership, and technical prowess. From Robotics, Coding, Gaming, Elektron, MechTech, Civil Creations, and The Electric League to Management Challenges, Apt-Venture, Fun Events, and On-Spot Competitions, participants displayed remarkable innovation while tackling real-world engineering and business challenges.

The undisputed highlight of the festival was IDEA STORM 2026, the flagship project exhibition that celebrated cutting-edge technological innovation. The competition attracted 34 teams from some of the country’s most reputed institutions, including Jadavpur University, University of Calcutta, IIT Bhubaneswar, Heritage Institute of Technology, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, JIS College of Engineering, JIS School of Polytechnic, and Narula Institute of Technology.

A total of 34 innovative projects were showcased, comprising 18 software-based solutions, 13 integrated hardware-software projects, and 3 hardware innovations. The exhibits focused on addressing contemporary challenges through advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Systems, Automation, and Sustainable Computing, reflecting the growing emphasis on technology-driven problem-solving.

After an intensive evaluation process conducted by eminent academicians and industry experts, Vision X Edge from Narula Institute of Technology secured the First Position, while THE VISIONARIES from Narula Institute of Technology claimed Second Position. Antarez from Jadavpur University earned the Third Position, impressing judges with its innovative approach and practical application.
