Kolkata, May 8, 2026: Global technology leader Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of the fifth edition of its flagship innovation and education programme, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026, aimed at empowering India’s next generation of young innovators to create technology-driven solutions for real-world challenges. Marking 30 years of Samsung in India, the company has significantly expanded the scale of the programme, doubling incubation grants to INR 2 crore for the top four winning teams, who will also receive incubation support at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Applications are open from May 7 to July 3, 2026, for students aged 14–22 years.
This year’s edition invites participants to submit ideas across four themes — AI Living for India, Health & Education, Environmental Sustainability, and Sport & Tech — reflecting the increasing role of technology in building a smarter and more inclusive India. The top 20 teams will receive grants of INR 20 lakh, while the top 40 teams will be awarded INR 8 lakh, along with Samsung devices and mentorship support. Participants will also benefit from over 240,000 hours of training, hands-on prototyping assistance, investor connects, and design-thinking workshops across 100 cities.
Speaking on the launch, JB Park, President & CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, said the programme reflects Samsung’s long-term commitment to strengthening India’s innovation ecosystem and supporting the vision of Digital India. Leading voices from academia and government, including Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, and Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, praised the initiative for nurturing young innovators and transforming ideas into scalable solutions with national and global impact.
The six-month programme will shortlist the top 100 teams for expert-led online mentoring, followed by a video pitch round that will narrow the field to 40 semi-finalists. These teams will receive intensive mentoring from Samsung leaders and industry experts, along with visits to Samsung’s R&D centres in Bengaluru, Noida, and Delhi. The top 20 finalists will compete in the grand finale through investor pitches and presentations, while the top four winners will secure incubation grants and access to IIT Delhi’s world-class innovation ecosystem.
Launched globally in 2010, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow is now active in 68 countries and has engaged more than 3 million young people worldwide, making it one of the largest youth innovation platforms globally.
