Police Officer Felicitated on Eid-ul-Fitr, Promoting Harmony in Howrah

Howrah, March 21, 2026: In a graceful celebration of unity and goodwill, the Officer-in-Charge (IC) of Mali Panchghora Police Station was felicitated on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr during a special programme held on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM.

The event was led by Imam Ehsan Raza Rizvi of Syed Mir Mosque and Mazar, who welcomed the police officer with a bouquet of flowers and extended warm Eid greetings. The gesture reflected a strong message of mutual respect and cooperation between the community and law enforcement authorities.

Several respected personalities and community members were present at the occasion, including Hafiz Mohammad Zarif, former Imam of Firdaus Mosque; Anwar Ali Qadri, Khadim of Syed Mir Mazar; Badru Doza Ansari, Shamim Khan, Pradeep Sharma, Dr. Salim Akhtar, and Qaiyum Khan.

During the programme, Imam Ehsan Raza Rizvi was also honoured with a floral garland by community members as a mark of appreciation for his leadership and contribution to social harmony. Ratan Lal Mahto felicitated Anwar Ali Qadri with a garland, exchanging Eid greetings and strengthening the spirit of unity.

The event was further graced by distinguished guests, including former councillor Savitri Devi Sao, along with Mohammad Islam, Mohammad Mansoor, and other prominent citizens.

The programme concluded on a festive note with the distribution of sweets, lassi, and coffee among all attendees, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The event stood as a meaningful example of communal harmony and togetherness, reflecting the true essence of Eid—peace, compassion, and unity across all sections of society.
