
Kolkata, 12 December 2025: Techno India Group, Eastern India’s largest private education conglomerate, inaugurated the fifth edition of Techno Olympica Knights, one of the region’s most prominent inter-school sports championships. The six-day sporting extravaganza, beginning today and continuing till 17th December 2025, has drawn participation from over 3,000 students representing 158 schools across West Bengal.
The opening ceremony witnessed an inspiring presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Chief Guest Prannoy H.S., renowned Indian badminton player, alongside Ms. Amar Jyoti, Executive Director, SAI Regional Centre, Kolkata; Prof Marco Abate, Rector, UniMarconi University, Rome; Shri Hansi Premjit Sen, Referee & Judge, World Karate Federation & Asian Karate Federation; Lakhsmhan Dongari, Assistant Director, Sports Authority of India; and Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group.
This year, FIT INDIA has formally acknowledged and partnered with Techno India Group for the fifth edition of “FIT INDIA – Techno Olympica Knights”, further amplifying the spirit of fitness and sportsmanship.
“Techno Olympica Knights celebrates youth, talent, discipline and holistic development. With 158 schools, 18 disciplines and more than 3,000 students, we are proud to provide a platform that encourages resilience and long-lasting friendships. We are honoured to have Prannoy H.S. as our Chief Guest—his presence will surely motivate every participating student,” said Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group.

The championship will feature an impressive line-up of sports events for both boys and girls, including chess, swimming, athletics, air rifle shooting, archery, football, kabaddi, table tennis, badminton, basketball and volleyball. Competitions will take place at leading venues across the city such as the SAI Complex, Subhas Sarobar, Spurdy, and Techno Main Campus Salt Lake.
