State-Level Yoga Competition Draws Massive Participation in Howrah

A vibrant State-Level Yoga Competition was successfully organized on Sunday at Ramgopal Mancha near Howrah Maidan, reaffirming yoga’s growing relevance among people of all ages. The event was hosted by in association with , , , and .

The programme aimed to spread awareness about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga, especially among the youth. The Chief Guest, of , emphasized the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for holistic well-being.

Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included , Founder and Main Organizer of Devlok Socio-cultural Foundation; , Journalist and Founder of ; , Junior Scientist and Head of UCMAYPSF; and , President of .

Nearly 700 participants from all districts of West Bengal—ranging from young children to senior citizens—took part in the competition. The event was divided into seven age-based categories for both male and female participants. Winners were awarded attractive prizes, while special gifts were also distributed to participants who did not secure ranks, encouraging inclusivity and participation.

The competition witnessed an overwhelming response from the public, with an audience of over 2,000 spectators, including parents, guardians, teachers, yoga enthusiasts, and sports lovers, turning the venue into a vibrant celebration of wellness.

Known for its continuous efforts in promoting Sanskrit, the Gita, Vedas-Upanishads, Yoga, and Bharatiya culture, the Devlok Socio-cultural Foundation reiterated its commitment to cultural and spiritual upliftment through this grand initiative.
