SPK Jain Futuristic Academy marked Rakshabandhan with a heartfelt tribute to the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), honouring their courage and selfless service to the nation.In a special gesture, students crafted handmade rakhis and tied them to the wrists of NDRF personnel, offering prayers for their safety, well-being, and long life. The ceremony was filled with warmth, gratitude, and respect for the force’s unwavering dedication.
Rakshabandhan, symbolising the bond of love and protection, traditionally involves sisters tying rakhis to brothers in exchange for a lifelong promise of care and support. Extending this sentiment beyond familial ties, the school chose to celebrate the festival with the nation’s protectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Jayeeta Ganguly, Principal of SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, said, “This Rakshabandhan, our students tied handmade rakhis to the NDRF officers, expressing love, gratitude, and profound respect for them as the steadfast protectors of our country.”
The NDRF, a specialised multi-disciplinary force, responds to both natural and man-made disasters, drawing its personnel from various branches of the armed forces and government services. Known for their tireless efforts in safeguarding lives during crises, they remain a vital pillar of national resilience.
