Kolkata: The City of Joy is ready to soak in a wave of thrill, colour and international grandeur as the Russian Diamond Circus, one of the world’s most acclaimed circus productions, sets up its spectacular international festival show at Sinthi More Circus Maidan. Commencing from December 14, 2025, the grand extravaganza promises an unforgettable experience for audiences across generations.
Celebrated for seamlessly blending classic circus traditions with modern, high-adrenaline performances, the Russian Diamond Circus presents a rare global confluence of talent. Artistes from Kenya, Mongolia, Belarus, Russia, Manipur (India) and other parts of the world come together under one majestic dome, turning the circus arena into a true international festival of entertainment.
The visually stunning production features an electrifying lineup of gravity-defying aerial acts, daring acrobatic formations, high-speed motorcycle stunts inside the iconic Globe of Death, and elegant hoop and balance performances, showcasing extraordinary strength, discipline and precision. Special delight awaits young audiences with the funny gorilla act, while internationally acclaimed clowns ensure waves of laughter throughout the show.
Adding further prestige to the event is the participation of performers featured on “India’s Got Talent”, bringing nationally celebrated artistes onto a global stage. Among the notable members of the troupe is Md Shamshad, a key circus performer whose dynamic presence and skill add to the show’s international appeal.
The entire spectacle is elevated by vibrant production values, dramatic lighting, colourful costumes and energetic music, creating a carnival-like ambience that transports spectators into a world of wonder and excitement.
The Russian Diamond Circus will stage three daily shows at 1:00 PM, 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM, offering convenient viewing options for families, students and working professionals. Keeping inclusivity in mind, ticket prices have been set at ₹100, ₹200 and ₹300, ensuring world-class entertainment remains accessible to all.
Speaking on the occasion, the organisers stated that the objective is to revive the timeless magic of live circus entertainment while presenting it in a contemporary, international format. “This is not merely a show—it is a celebration of global culture, courage and creativity,” they said.
