“Picture abhi baaki hai…” – Defence Minister Rajnath Singh echoed this iconic line as he revealed that ‘Operation Sindoor’ is far from over. In a high-stakes all-party meeting on Thursday, Singh confirmed that India has carried out precision airstrikes on nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), eliminating over 100 militants in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack.

The operation, named ‘Sindoor’ to honor the sacrifices of soldiers’ families, is part of a larger ongoing military strategy. Singh stated that certain operational details remain classified, but emphasized that multiple high-value targets still remain.

Among the slain militants is Abdul Rauf Azhar, operational head of Jaish-e-Mohammed and the mastermind behind the IC-814 hijacking. Several other top-tier terrorists have also been confirmed dead.

Senior leaders from across party lines — including Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge — attended the meeting and expressed full support for the government’s action. Congress and other opposition parties vowed unity in the face of national security threats.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju added, “India stands united. The nation salutes its armed forces. ‘Operation Sindoor’ continues.”

This marks a significant escalation in India’s counter-terror strategy, sending a clear message to adversaries across the border: India will not tolerate terror, and this story is far from over.
