New Delhi, December 15, 2025:
Matix Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited, promoted by Nishant Kanodia, has once again underscored its operational excellence by winning the prestigious ‘Best Production Performance Award 2025 for a Nitrogenous Fertiliser Plant’ for the second consecutive year at the Fertiliser Association of India (FAI) Annual Seminar 2025.
In a significant double recognition, Matix was also conferred the award for ‘Improvement in Overall Performance of a Company’, highlighting its strong growth trajectory and sustained efficiency gains within a critical sector of India’s agricultural ecosystem.
The awards were presented by Shri Rajat Kumar Mishra, Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Fertilisers, Government of India, during the inaugural session of the FAI Annual Seminar in New Delhi. The honours were received by Mr Manoj Mishra, Managing Director, and Mr Giridhar Mishra, Chief Operating Officer, on behalf of the company.
Commenting on the achievement, Chairman Nishant Kanodia said,
“Winning the FAI ‘Best Production Performance’ award for the second year in a row—within just our fourth year of operations—reflects the remarkable pace at which Matix has evolved. It demonstrates what is possible when deep industry expertise is combined with next-generation manufacturing. This recognition belongs to every Matixian whose resilience and innovation have transformed a bold vision into a record-setting reality. We are only at the beginning of this journey.”
Mr Manoj Mishra, Managing Director, added,
“Receiving both the ‘Best Production Performance for a Nitrogenous Fertiliser Plant’ and ‘Improvement in Overall Performance of a Company’ awards is a proud milestone for Matix. It is a tribute to the exceptional discipline, technical excellence and safety-first culture of our Panagarh team. These achievements reflect the collective effort of our people across functions and the professional autonomy that allows us to consistently strive for excellence.”
The FAI Annual Seminar 2025 focused on fertiliser management for a green and farmer-empowered future, aligning with India’s priorities of efficient nutrient use, reduced import dependence and climate-responsive manufacturing. Matix’s dual awards reaffirm its capability to deliver reliable output and sustained performance in a sector central to national food security.
In FY2025, Matix produced 1.47 million tonnes of urea, surpassing its installed capacity of 1.27 MTPA and achieving approximately 115 percent capacity utilisation. Its Panagarh facility has emerged as a key anchor for fertiliser supply in Eastern India, meeting nearly 20 percent of the region’s urea demand and supporting timely availability for farmers.
One of India’s youngest yet fastest-growing fertiliser producers, Matix today operates across nine states through a network of over 1,000 dealers and 60,000 retailers, offering a diversified portfolio spanning urea, non-urea and specialty fertilisers.
The latest accolades further cement Matix Fertilisers’ position as a benchmark for operational excellence and a key contributor to India’s journey towards agricultural resilience and self-reliance.
