Kolkata, February 27, 2026: Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s leading tractor manufacturer and one of the country’s largest farm machinery and rotavator makers, has launched its new Mahindra Rotavator series in West Bengal. The upgraded range features a bold new look and a wider mast design, aimed at delivering superior heavy-duty performance along with a premium visual appeal.
Positioned in the Heavy-Duty rotavator segment, the new series will be available under the Mahavator and Mahavator HD categories, spanning 4 to 9 feet. Developed following extensive market research and farmer feedback, the redesigned rotavators offer improved structural integrity, enhanced durability and better stability for challenging tillage operations.
According to the company, the enhanced mast design ensures greater strength and handling, making the equipment suitable for tough and uneven farm surfaces commonly found across India. The new models are engineered to withstand intensive wear and tear while ensuring long-term reliability.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Anusha Kothandaraman, Vice President & Head – International Operations and Business Head – Farm Machinery, Mahindra Farm Equipment Business, said farm mechanisation continues to play a vital role in improving agricultural productivity. She noted that the newly designed rotavators aim to deliver superior performance while also enhancing farmers’ sense of pride and ownership in their equipment. The new-look rotavators will be rolled out in phases across Mahindra’s extensive dealer network in West Bengal.
While the redesigned range will gradually replace existing models, Mahindra will continue offering its current portfolio to cater to diverse farming needs and operational preferences.
Adding a patriotic touch, the company also introduced a limited-edition range of Mahindra Rotavators in tricolour-inspired hues — Metallic Orange, Everest White and Metallic Green. Available in Mahavator HD, Supervator, and Gyrovator ZLX+ variants, the special edition pays tribute to India’s farming community.
Mahindra further highlighted its ‘Intelligent Rotavator’ under the brand name Tez-e, a patented innovation integrating Bluetooth technology. The system enables real-time farm data transmission to a mobile application, bringing digital precision to traditional tilling practices.
Among the country’s largest rotavator manufacturers, Mahindra produces its equipment at dedicated facilities in Nabha, Punjab and Zaheerabad, Telangana. Designed and tested to global standards, the company’s rotavator portfolio is tailored to meet varied agricultural conditions in India and overseas markets.
