he historic Howrah Town Hall turned into a hub of culture and creativity on August 17, as the eminent literary and cultural organization Shilpa Srijan Parishad hosted a prestigious award distribution ceremony. The event celebrated the timeless spirit of literature, honoring both emerging voices and veteran writers for their remarkable contributions to the world of letters.

The evening witnessed an atmosphere charged with literary fervor, as distinguished guests, writers, poets, and literature enthusiasts gathered in large numbers to participate in the celebration.

The occasion was adorned by the gracious presence of some of Bengal’s most respected cultural figures :

  • Himadri Kishore Dasgupta, an eminent litterateur,
  • Subodh Sarkar, a celebrated poet, and

  • Five distinguished personalities were felicitated with the “Bango Diganta Samman” (Honorary Award), acknowledging their exceptional contributions to literature and cultural advancement.
