KARUSTUTI X ROHAN PARIYAR UNVEIL FLAGSHIP STORE IN KOLKATA

Kolkata, 04 June, 2025 :

In a significant moment for Indian fashion, designer Rohan Pariyar and textile house Karustuti have joined forces to open their first-ever flagship store at 66 Shakespeare Sarani, near Decathlon, Kolkata. This collaboration promises a compelling dialogue between contemporary couture and traditional craftsmanship.

The newly launched space is a curated haven for the modern Indian wardrobe, featuring handwoven saris, dramatic couture ensembles, and versatile Indo-western pieces that bridge the past and present. Rooted deeply in heritage yet aligned with global aesthetics, the store brings together the intricate textile legacy of Karustuti with Rohan Pariyar’s flair for theatrical silhouettes.

Highlights include a muslin jamdani sari spun from 180 threads of handwoven cotton, and a cocktail skirt encrusted with pearls and glasswork. But the true standout remains Pariyar’s signature corset — a structural yet romantic garment that has become a brand staple. Featuring metallic boning and hand embellishments, the corset is designed to pair effortlessly with saris, lehengas, skirts, or trousers, and is inclusive in its sizing and form.

“This has been a dream I’ve manifested for nearly a decade,” said Rohan Pariyar. “Collaborating with a brand like Karustuti, which shares my commitment to detail, emotion, and heritage, is a milestone.”

Karustuti’s co-founder Ankita Naskar echoed the sentiment: “We’ve worked together at exhibitions, but this store allows us to present a cohesive vision. It’s a space where both our design languages can thrive together.”

The store’s aesthetic reflects their joint ethos — clean, immersive, and crafted with intention. On launch day, model Sanghashree Roy graced the event, adding to the glamour and excitement of the unveiling.

From saris and jumpsuits to gowns and eveningwear, the KARUSTUTI x ROHAN PARIYAR flagship store is poised to become a cultural and sartorial landmark in Kolkata’s fashion landscape.
