Kolkata, 10th June 2025: iLEAD has announced the successful completion of its revolutionary banquet-cum-conference hall, constructed using 90% recycled materials. This milestone project underscores iLEAD’s commitment to sustainable design, reduced waste, and environmental responsibility.
The hall features:
Decorative elements made from discarded mini-fridge glasses
Wall panels repurposed from dismantled Taj chambers
Tables from old wooden planks
Refurbished chairs and sofas with new leather covers
“This innovative project reflects how sustainability can drive both creativity and cost-efficiency,” said Mr. Pradip Chopra, Co-Founder of PS Group and Chairman of iLEAD. “We hope this inspires others to adopt similar eco-conscious practices.”
Mr. Chopra, a leader in sustainable architecture, is known for using discarded items innovatively. At iLEAD’s 2-lakh sq. ft. campus, over 70% of materials are sourced from waste. His approach—designing after procuring materials—has redefined architectural norms.
Key Benefits Highlighted:
Cost-effectiveness: Lower material costs offset any additional labour, keeping total costs stable.
Time-efficiency: Readily available recycled materials eliminate delivery delays.
Aesthetic appeal: The project busts the myth that reused materials compromise beauty.
The hall not only promotes green architecture but also creates job opportunities, making it a replicable model for sustainable infrastructure.
