Kolkata, 1 September 2025: Himalaya Wellness, a trusted name in skincare for over 25 years, launched its inaugural ‘World of Neem’ initiative at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, ahead of Pimple Acne Positivity Day. The campaign aims to break the stigma around pimples and acne, while promoting confidence and holistic skincare among India’s youth.

According to studies, nearly 4 in 5 young Indians feel less confident in social settings due to pimples, and over 20 crore teenagers and young adults in India struggle with this concern. Recognizing this widespread challenge, Himalaya has positioned Pimple Acne Positivity Day as a movement towards self-acceptance and skin positivity.
The ‘World of Neem’ event offered an immersive experience, bringing together dermatological experts, celebrities, influencers, and brand advocates. The highlight was an interactive panel discussion on pimple myths and skin confidence, led by renowned dermatologist Dr. Rashmi Shetty, who emphasized the importance of holistic care.
Bollywood actor Nitanshi Goel, best known for her role in Laapata Ladies, shared her personal journey with skin issues, encouraging young audiences to embrace their natural skin without fear or shame.
Himalaya also unveiled the evolution of its iconic Neem Face Wash, now powered with a unique 5-parts Neem formulation designed for enhanced pimple care. This innovation reaffirms its position as India’s No. 1 facewash brand for pimple-prone skin.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajesh Krishnamurthy, Business Director – Consumer Products Division, Himalaya Wellness, said:
“At Himalaya Wellness, we believe skincare should be gentle, effective, and stigma-free. Our new Neem formulation strengthens this legacy and empowers the youth to embrace their skin with confidence.”
Echoing the same, Ms. Ragini Hariharan, Marketing Director – Beauty & Personal Care, Himalaya Wellness, added:
“Gen Z consumers are seeking solutions that are nature-inspired and science-backed. With ‘World of Neem’, we are creating a safe space where skincare is about care, confidence, and authenticity.”
Dr. Shetty highlighted the relevance of Neem in modern skincare, stating that while pimples are natural, the stigma surrounding them causes greater harm than the condition itself. Neem, she explained, offers gentle, antibacterial, and soothing care, aligning with both traditional wisdom and modern science.
Through this initiative, Himalaya Wellness also announced a nationwide school outreach program, targeting over 5 lakh students, to spread awareness about pimple positivity and effective skincare practices.
With the launch of ‘World of Neem’, Himalaya has not only strengthened its legacy but also sparked a movement to make Pimple Acne Positivity Day a celebration of real skin, self-acceptance, and natural care.
