Golden Tulip Kolkata has announced the inauguration of its much-anticipated festive offering “Sharodiyar Mahabhoj” – a grand Durga Puja special buffet celebrating Bengal’s culinary heritage. The promotion was launched on September 13 at the hotel’s Antpasti restaurant (3rd floor) and will run during the Durga Puja festive week from September 29 to October 2, 2025.
Durga Puja, also known as Durgotsava, is one of Bengal’s most cherished festivals, symbolizing devotion, joy, and togetherness. To complement the cultural fervor, Golden Tulip Kolkata is set to showcase an extensive spread of traditional Bengali delicacies infused with festive zest, presented through themed buffets across Saptami, Ashtami, Nabami, and Dashami.
The culinary lineup will feature Bengali favorites such as Narkeli Posto Bora, Putli Murgir Paturi, Macher Kobiraji Bistar, and an array of sweets like Swadpriyo Chanar Payesh, Sita Bhog, and Khirer Goja. Guests can also look forward to innovative mocktails, alongside signature non-vegetarian dishes including Kolkata Chicken Biryani, Kochi Patha aar Haser Dimer Dakbungalow, Morich Murgi, Kosha Mangsho, and Szechwan Chicken.
Each day of the festival will highlight a different menu under the themes:
- Saptamir Chamak: Raanir Pulao Raajnandini, Goalondor Steamer Murgir Jhol, Chingri Putli
- Astamir Chamak: Shorshe Bhekti Maach, Mutton Roganjosh, Anglo Indian Chicken Dakbungalow
- Nabamir Chamak: Rajabir Manghser Karshaji, Patay maro Kucho Chingri, Dhonepata Kanchalanka Murgi
- Dashamir Chamak: Rajbarir Kaju diye Manghser Jhol, Chingri aar Mochar Ghonto
Desserts, an inseparable part of any Bengali feast, will include Baked Rosogolla, Misti Doi, Amosto Sandesh, and Mihidana, ensuring a sweet conclusion to the celebration.
The buffet, priced at ₹1299 (inclusive of taxes), will be available for both lunch (12:00 pm – 3:30 pm) and dinner (7:00 pm – 11:00 pm) at Antpasti, Golden Tulip Kolkata, Salt Lake City.
