
Kolkata, March 18, 2026: In a spectacular celebration of fitness, discipline, and competitive excellence, the District Dhurandhar Championship was held at the prestigious Sithy Adarsha Byayam Mandir, organized by Ashok Akhara Ek Byayam Mandir. The event drew an overwhelming response, with more than 100 participants representing nine districts across West Bengal — Kolkata, Howrah, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Hooghly, Nadia, Purba Bardhaman, Paschim Bardhaman, and Medinipur.
The championship transformed the venue into a vibrant arena of strength and determination, as athletes displayed remarkable physique, endurance, and sportsmanship throughout the day-long contest.
Adding prestige to the occasion, several eminent personalities graced the event, including distinguished journalist Gopal Debnath, national bodybuilding champion Partha Chand, acclaimed dancer Pritha Chand, and Sukumar Das.
The judging panel featured a lineup of highly respected figures from the bodybuilding world, led by internationally renowned bodybuilder Anirban Banerjee. He was joined by Rakhi Das, organizer and actor-bodybuilder Ashok Raj, Soujanya Dhar, and Amish Raj, ensuring fair and expert evaluation of the competitors.

In a thrilling display of team performance, Fitness Zone clinched the title of Team Champion, emerging as the standout performer among strong contenders.
The seamless execution of the championship was made possible by the tireless efforts of officials Ayesha Raj, Panchu Gopal Das, Suraj Jaiswal, Ratul Kar, Ishan, and Amar Raj, who ensured the event ran smoothly from start to finish.
The District Dhurandhar Championship not only highlighted the rising standards of bodybuilding in the region but also reinforced West Bengal’s growing prominence on the fitness map, inspiring a new generation of athletes to pursue strength and excellence.
