Eid-ul-Fitr Prayers to be Held at Syed Mir Mosque, Howrah at 8 AM

Howrah: The historic Syed Mir Mosque, located at 146, J.N. Mukherjee Road, Ghusuri, Howrah–Chara, will host the Eid-ul-Fitr congregational prayers at 8:00 AM, continuing a cherished tradition observed by the local Muslim community every year.

The Eid prayer will be led by Hafiz Janab Ehsan Raza Rizvi, the Imam of Syed Mir Mosque, who will guide the faithful in the special congregational prayer marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The occasion is expected to draw a large gathering of worshippers from across the area, reflecting the deep spiritual and communal significance of the festival.

Several respected members of the community and religious figures will also be present during the occasion. Those involved in the arrangements include Hafiz Mohammad Zarif, former Imam of Firdous Mosque; Janab Badru Doza Ansari, a prominent social worker; Janab Anwar Ali Qadri, Khadim (caretaker) of Syed Mir Mosque; and Janab Mohammad Aslam, the mosque’s Moazzin, along with other distinguished members of the local community.

Speaking on behalf of the mosque committee, Janab Mohammad Shamim Khan, Deputy Secretary of Syed Mir Mosque, urged worshippers to reach the mosque on time to ensure that the prayers are conducted in an orderly and disciplined manner. He emphasized the importance of maintaining cooperation and mutual respect among attendees so that the spiritual atmosphere of the Eid congregation is preserved.

The mosque management has also appealed to members of the Muslim community to participate in large numbers and celebrate the festival with a spirit of unity, harmony, and brotherhood. Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the culmination of a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection during Ramadan, is not only a religious celebration but also a moment to strengthen social bonds, share joy with family and neighbors, and extend compassion to those in need.

With preparations underway, the Syed Mir Mosque committee expressed hope that the gathering will reflect the true essence of Eid—faith, gratitude, and togetherness—as devotees come together to offer prayers and exchange greetings on this blessed occasion.
