Kisaanka Agri Books Arrive in Kolkata and Digital Platforms to Nurture Agricultural Awareness Among Children

Kisaanka, an initiative committed to fostering agricultural literacy among children, has announced the availability of its specially curated agri-books in Kolkata and across leading digital platforms, marking an important step towards making agricultural education accessible to young readers nationwide. The physical editions of the books were available at Annapurna Prakashani, Stall No. 372, while the e-book versions are available on Amazon, enabling wider reach across India and beyond.

At a time when children are increasingly distanced from the origins of food and farming, Kisaanka’s agri-books aim to bridge this gap through engaging, age-appropriate storytelling and informative content. The books introduce core agricultural concepts in a simple yet impactful manner, highlighting the vital roles of farmers, soil, water, crops, and sustainable farming practices. By doing so, the initiative seeks to instil respect for nature and a deeper understanding of food systems from an early age.

Expanding beyond individual readership, Kisaanka has also introduced a subscription-based learning model for schools and educational institutions. This structured initiative integrates agricultural learning into classroom teaching and extracurricular activities, offering educators thoughtfully curated content designed to spark curiosity, promote environmental responsibility, and encourage innovative thinking among students.

Strengthening its credibility and impact, Kisaanka is proudly incubated by IIM Calcutta and the North Eastern Council, Government of India, underscoring its strong foundation in research, education, and public outreach. The association reflects the initiative’s commitment to meaningful, knowledge-driven engagement with young minds.

By extending its presence across both physical and digital platforms, Kisaanka continues to advance its mission of making agricultural education accessible, relevant, and engaging for the next generation, while contributing to a more informed and sustainable future.
