Techno Olympica Knights 2025 Concludes with Grand Finale

Kolkata, December 18, 2025:
Techno India Group, Eastern India’s largest private education conglomerate, successfully concluded the 5th edition of Techno Olympica Knights (TOK) with a vibrant and inspiring closing ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the promotion of school-level sports and holistic education across West Bengal.

The grand finale celebrated athletic excellence, discipline, teamwork, and the indomitable spirit of young athletes, as over 3,200 students from 148 schools competed across a diverse range of sporting disciplines, making this edition one of the most expansive and impactful in the event’s history.

The closing ceremony was graced by Ms. Sayani Das, internationally acclaimed open-water swimmer and recipient of the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2024, conferred by the President of India. A trailblazer in Indian swimming, Ms. Das is the first Indian woman to successfully cross the North Channel and has conquered some of the world’s toughest waters, including the English Channel, Molokai Channel, and Cook Strait as part of the prestigious Oceans Seven Challenge.

Her distinguished accolades also include the Khelashri Award (West Bengal Government), Governor’s Award of Excellence, Khel Samman, ABP Ananda Sera Banglai Award, Calcutta Chamber of Commerce Sports Excellence Award, and the Mother Teresa International Award.

The ceremony was further dignified by the presence of Mr. Debashis Sen, IAS (Retd.), Mr. Rumman Dastgir, Consul, U.S. Consulate General, Kolkata, Mr. Meghdhut Roychowdhury, Founder – Make Calcutta Relevant Again & Chief Innovation Officer, Techno India Group, and Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group.

The 5th edition of Techno Olympica Knights also marked a significant expansion with the introduction of shooting as a competitive discipline, led by Olympic shooter Joydeep Karmakar, reflecting the Group’s commitment to evolving and inclusive sports development.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group, said:

Conceived as a visionary initiative by Prof. Roychowdhury, Techno Olympica Knights continues to grow as a flagship inter-school sporting platform, encouraging students to strive for excellence both on and off the field while fostering camaraderie, leadership, and healthy competition.
