Kolkata, December 21, 2025:
The Medical Rehabilitation Centre (MRC) ushered in a transformative phase for rehabilitative healthcare in Eastern India as it introduced the region’s first-ever robotic therapy and AI-driven medical rehabilitation services. The historic announcement was made during the MRC 25 Summit 2025, organised to commemorate MRC’s 25 years of excellence in patient-centric rehabilitation.
The day-long national summit brought together eminent doctors, rehabilitation specialists, and healthcare leaders from across the country, positioning Kolkata as an emerging hub for technology-enabled rehabilitative care. Through high-impact panel discussions and expert-led sessions, the summit traced MRC’s two-and-a-half-decade journey while spotlighting future-ready innovations reshaping rehabilitation medicine.
Experts at the summit underlined that robotic rehabilitation and artificial intelligence are set to witness accelerated adoption over the next five to seven years, driven by precision-based outcomes, growing clinical confidence, and real-world patient success stories. Deliberations focused on how advanced robotics and AI align seamlessly with the core goal of rehabilitation—delivering accurate, effective, and personalised recovery pathways.
Key thematic sessions covered Fibromyalgia, Post-Stroke Pain Management, AI & Robotics in Rehabilitation, HR Technology in Healthcare, Bladder Rehabilitation with Botox, Bowel and Sexual Rehabilitation, Tenotomy for improved functional outcomes, Peripheral Neuropathy, and other critical domains shaping the future of comprehensive rehabilitative care.
The summit featured an illustrious panel of medical stalwarts, including Dr. A. K. Mukherjee, Dr. Jagannatha Sahoo, Dr. Ravi Shankaran, Dr. Sanjay Pandey, Dr. Mrinal Joshi, Dr. Rajesh Pramanik, Dr. Goutam Das, Dr. B. K. Choudhury, and Dr. Mouli Madhab Ghatak, along with several other leading experts from premier institutions nationwide.

Sharing his vision, Dr. Mouli Madhab Ghatak, Founder & In-charge, MRC, said,
“Some of the most complex patient struggles—chronic pain, post-treatment complications, and long-term functional limitations—often remain under-discussed. By initiating focused dialogue on these areas, we aim to bridge gaps in care and ensure dignity, continuity, and holistic recovery remain central to modern medicine.”
Over the past 25 years, MRC has evolved into a trusted name synonymous with innovation, compassion, and clinical excellence. The MRC 25 Summit 2025 stood as a powerful testament to this legacy—celebrating not only institutional milestones, but also countless lives restored through advanced, empathetic rehabilitation.
