Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., one of India’s most trusted and innovation-driven consumer electrical brands, has been honoured at the nation’s highest platform for energy efficiency with the National Energy Conservation Award (NECA) 2025 – Appliance of the Year.
The award was conferred by the Hon’ble President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at a prestigious ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, recognising Crompton’s outstanding contribution to energy conservation in the Stationary Storage Type Electric Water Heater category.
Instituted by the Ministry of Power and administered through the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), the National Energy Conservation Awards celebrate organisations that demonstrate leadership in reducing energy consumption while delivering superior performance. Crompton’s win underscores its strong focus on designing appliances that combine advanced technology, sustainability, and consumer-centric innovation.
The award was received by Promeet Ghosh, Managing Director and CEO, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd., on behalf of the company. Crompton was recognised for its BEE 5-star rated Storage Water Heater, reaffirming its position as an industry frontrunner in energy-efficient and sustainable product innovation. This recognition follows the company’s earlier NECA win in 2023, marking yet another milestone in its sustained leadership in driving energy-efficient technologies across India.
Established on December 14, 1991, the National Energy Conservation Awards are among the country’s most prestigious recognitions in the field of energy efficiency. Presented annually by eminent dignitaries of the Government of India, the awards acknowledge exemplary efforts across diverse sectors and have played a pivotal role in inspiring industries and establishments nationwide to adopt energy-efficient measures.
Speaking on the occasion, Promeet Ghosh said,
