The initiative began with over a hundred students from Grade VIII onwards taking part in a Silent Walkathon, donning purple ribbon badges as a mark of solidarity with cancer survivors and their families. The doctors emphasized the need for early detection, preventive lifestyle choices, and community awareness in reducing cancer risk. Their talk sensitized students to both the medical and emotional aspects of battling the disease.
