India Conducts Precision Strikes Under ‘Operation Sindoor’ Targeting Terror Camps

New Delhi, 7 May 2025: In a significant development, the Indian Armed Forces launched a precision military operation named ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting nine terrorist infrastructure sites located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). The strikes were conducted in response to the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, in which 25 Indian citizens and one Nepali national lost their lives.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Defence, the operation was carried out with precision and restraint, specifically avoiding any Pakistani military facilities. The statement emphasized that the strikes were measured, non-escalatory, and focused solely on terrorist targets responsible for orchestrating attacks against India.

“This operation reaffirms India’s commitment to holding perpetrators of terrorism accountable,” the statement noted, underlining that all targeted sites were directly linked to the planning and execution of terrorist operations.

A detailed briefing on Operation Sindoor is expected later today, where more insights into the mission’s planning and outcome will be shared.

The Ministry reiterated that India remains firm in its resolve to protect its citizens and respond decisively to acts of terror.
