Volvo CE India Sets New Industry Benchmark with ‘Made in Bharat’ EC215 at EXCON 2025

Bengaluru, December 9, 2025: Volvo Construction Equipment India reinforced its leadership in India’s infrastructure transformation with a powerful, innovation-driven showcase at EXCON 2025, South Asia’s largest construction equipment exhibition. Anchored by the theme “Bharosa Har Mod Par – Trust At Every Turn,” the company unveiled a robust portfolio of India-centric, future-ready and sustainability-led solutions designed to support the nation’s expanding construction, mining and material-handling needs.

Stealing the spotlight was the debut of the all-new EC215, a Made-in-Bharat medium excavator engineered specifically for India’s diverse and demanding operating conditions. Building on the success of the EC210, the EC215 marks the next phase of Volvo CE’s localized innovation strategy. Carrying the bold promise of “Zyada Ka Vaada,” the EC215 extends the brand’s Zyada philosophy to the 20–22 tonne class, delivering higher productivity, improved fuel efficiency, superior uptime and compelling lifecycle value.

Further strengthening its India-focused portfolio, Volvo CE also introduced the SD110 Compactor, designed to deliver dependable performance and strong return on investment for road construction and compaction applications. In a significant step toward sustainable construction, the company showcased the L120 Electric Wheel Loader, India’s most advanced wheel loader now commercially available, underlining Volvo CE’s commitment to zero-emission, cost-efficient technologies. The showcase culminated with the pre-launch reveal of the EC650, making its first appearance in India and poised to set new benchmarks in heavy excavation for large infrastructure and mining projects.

Beyond machines, Volvo CE delivered an immersive brand experience by highlighting its integrated service ecosystem. This included Equipment-as-a-Service solutions, digital machine monitoring, operator training and skill development tools, productivity optimization offerings and live support services—each aimed at maximizing fleet utilization, minimizing downtime and enhancing performance across the equipment lifecycle.

Reaffirming its long-term commitment to India, Volvo CE also announced progress on its upcoming Technology Centre in Bengaluru, which will focus on research and development, localization and product engineering for both domestic and global markets. The initiative positions India as a strategic hub within Volvo CE’s global innovation network.

Commenting on the occasion, Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director, Volvo CE India, said:
“EXCON 2025 reflects our continued focus on delivering solutions that directly address the real needs of the Indian market. The EC215 is built on deep customer insights, offering stronger productivity and better fuel efficiency where it matters most. With our compactors and electric wheel loaders, we are enabling customers to transition responsibly toward lower-emission technologies while reducing operating costs. Our commitment remains firmly aligned with India’s infrastructure priorities, supported by reliable, future-ready innovation.”

With its Made-in-Bharat EC215 and a strong pipeline of sustainable, high-performance solutions, Volvo CE India once again underscored its role as a trusted partner in shaping the future of India’s infrastructure growth.
