The launch was celebrated through a vibrant football festival featuring young players, parents, prominent dignitaries, professional footballers, and media representatives. A special high-tea interaction enabled guests to engage with coaches, leadership teams, and budding players.

A Modern, Holistic Football Development Structure
The academy’s training framework emphasizes a five-corner developmental approach — technical, tactical, physical, mental, and social — ensuring players grow not only in skill but also in discipline and character. The initiative lays out clear progression pathways for talented athletes to advance into UKSC’s elite youth teams and eventually senior men’s and women’s squads, including opportunities in national and international tournaments.
Led by Yan Law, one of India’s youngest AFC Pro Licence coaches, and a team of AFC and AIFF-certified coaches — including former professional players — the academy offers:
- 2–3 structured training sessions per week
- A 1:15 coach-to-player ratio for personalised attention
- Age-specific batches with modern curriculum
- Regular participation in leagues and tournaments
- Quarterly player evaluations and report cards
- Interactions with UKSC senior team athletes on nutrition, discipline & mindset
- Safe, inclusive, child-friendly training environments
Expanding Across West Bengal
Leveraging Techno India Group’s extensive educational and community network, UKSC Academy plans to establish decentralised satellite training hubs across the state for widespread talent identification and community inclusion.
With 300+ students across 6 operational centres, the academy is rapidly expanding in districts including Siliguri, Malda, Durgapur, Falakata, Coochbehar, and Jalpaiguri. A pioneering girls’ residential football program in Siliguri is currently under preparation, strengthening the group’s commitment to gender-inclusive sports.
Rapid Rise of UKSC
Founded in 2024 by Techno India Group, United Kolkata Sports Club has quickly become a force in Bengal football. The club made history by becoming the first-ever team in India to win the CFL 1st Division in its debut season, earning promotion to the Premier Division, while also showing impressive progress in women’s football and futsal.
Vision for the Future
Highlighting the long-term mission behind this initiative,
Mr. Debdut Roy Chowdhury, Director, Techno India Group, said:
“Our goal is to transform grassroots sport across the state. This is more than just a training program — it’s a comprehensive youth development initiative. By combining quality coaching with accessible opportunities, we are building a strong and inclusive pathway for tomorrow’s champions.”
With its structured methodology, expert coaching, and institutional strength, the UKSC Academy grassroots program is poised to emerge as one of Eastern India’s most impactful youth sports movements — shaping skilled footballers and confident, disciplined citizens for the future.
