SPK Jain Futuristic Academy turned into a vibrant hub of joy and discovery on Saturday as it hosted FamFiesta 2025, a landmark celebration marking the 155th birth anniversary of Dr. Maria Montessori. The event brought together families, educators and children, transforming the campus into a lively space of experiential learning inspired by Montessori’s timeless philosophy.
As Eastern India’s first experiential learning school, the academy showcased its unique approach—offering Montessori pedagogy in lower classes and Cambridge and CBSE curricula in higher grades. Staying true to its mission of nurturing curiosity, creativity and independent thinking, the school created a dynamic atmosphere of hands-on learning.
The event was attended by leading educationists and school leaders, including Suman Sood (Director, B.D. Memorial School), Neeta Kanoria (Founder, Wings Preschool), Ricika Lahoti (Director, Little Millennium School), Nilanjana Kar (Centre Head, Kangaroo Kids International Preschool) and Shruti Karel (Founder, The Neev Preschool). Their presence reinforced a collective commitment to promoting child-centric and experiential learning.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jaydeep Patwa, Secretary of SPK Jain Futuristic Academy, said:
“Dr. Montessori believed in giving children freedom to explore, question and learn at their own pace. With FamFiesta 2025, we wanted to bring that philosophy alive—not just for our students but for every family that walked into our campus today.”
Principal Dr. Jayeeta Ganguly added:
“Dr. Montessori’s vision of hands-on, child-centered learning is more relevant today than ever. By fostering independence, curiosity and empathy, Montessori education lays the foundation for children to grow as confident learners and responsible global citizens.”

With an atmosphere filled with cheer, connection and creativity, FamFiesta 2025 emerged as more than an event—it was a celebration of Montessori’s vision, carried forward by SPK Jain Futuristic Academy and shared with the wider educational community.
