JIS Group set the cultural calendar ablaze with the grand inauguration of JIS Spirit 2026, a high-energy, three-day inter-institutional cultural festival that brought together students from across JIS Group colleges in a spectacular celebration of creativity, collaboration, and healthy competition.
Rooted in the dynamic ethos of “Josh–Junoon–Jeet,” JIS Spirit 2026 has been envisioned as a vibrant platform where young minds converge to express, explore, and excel. From soul-stirring music and electrifying dance to theatre, fashion, literature, and visual arts, the festival showcases an impressive spectrum of student talent—echoing the spirit of gotong royong, the Indonesian tradition of collective effort and togetherness, where creativity thrives through unity.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by a distinguished gathering of eminent personalities, including Mr. Sabyasachi Chakraborty, acclaimed Indian actor; Sardar Taranjit Singh, Managing Director, JIS Group; Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group; Prof. (Dr.) Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Chancellor, JIS University; Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit Sengupta, Chairman, JIS Samman; Prof. (Dr.) Swarup Kumar Mitra, Chairman, JIS Spirit; Prof. (Dr.) Subhram Das, Principal, Narula Institute of Technology; along with Principals and Directors from other JIS institutions—adding gravitas and inspiration to the occasion.
More than a competitive arena, JIS Spirit 2026 stands as a celebration of confidence, cultural appreciation, and shared identity. The festival mirrors the vibrant, youth-driven cultural carnivals seen across Asia—from Jakarta’s campus festivals to India’s own college extravaganzas—where expression, innovation, and community spirit take center stage.

Addressing the gathering, Sardar Simarpreet Singh, Director, JIS Group, said,
“JIS Spirit 2026 offers students a dynamic space to discover their passions, express their creativity, and grow together. It reflects our commitment to nurturing holistic individuals through teamwork, diversity, and excellence. JIS Spirit 2026 truly captures the essence of ‘One Stage. Many Colleges. Infinite Talent.’”
