
Kolkata, December 3, 2025: Marking a milestone moment for the country’s travel sector, the Indo International Tourism Chamber of Commerce (IITCC) — India’s first and only exclusive tourism chamber of commerce — was officially launched in Kolkata. The initiative aims to build a unified, structured and globally competitive ecosystem for tourism professionals across India.

Established with a mission to elevate India’s tourism industry to international standards, IITCC will focus on representation, advocacy, collaboration and strategic opportunities for stakeholders spanning travel companies, hotels, destination managers, tour operators, event specialists and allied sectors.
Speaking at the launch, Abbhishek Chaudhuri, Founder & President, IITCC, said:
“India is one of the world’s strongest tourism destinations, yet the industry has lacked a dedicated representative body to champion its collective interests. IITCC will empower tourism professionals, drive strong policy advocacy, and position India as a key global tourism powerhouse.”
He further emphasized:
