Asia’s largest and most influential metal forming technology exhibition, IMTEX FORMING 2026, is set to bring global manufacturing leaders, innovators, and policymakers to Bengaluru from 21–25 January 2026. The five-day mega event will be organised by the Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).
Widely regarded as the definitive platform for the metal forming and manufacturing ecosystem, IMTEX FORMING 2026 will showcase next-generation technologies, high-productivity solutions, and digital manufacturing advancements that are shaping the future of Indian and global industry.

Industry Outlook
Highlighting the growth trajectory of the sector, Ms. Mohini Kelkar, President, IMTMA, said that metal forming currently accounts for nearly 29% of the Indian machine tool market and is poised for strong expansion. In FY25, metal forming machine tool consumption stood at ₹9,139 crore, while production was valued at ₹2,696 crore, with exports recording an approximate 6% year-on-year growth.

Emphasising technology adoption, Mr. Jibak Dasgupta, Director General & CEO, IMTMA, noted the rising acceptance of laser and laser-based applications across industries. Exhibitors at IMTEX FORMING 2026 will showcase fibre laser machines, servo presses, precision levellers, pick-and-place systems, production monitoring solutions, advanced welding systems, and 3D printing technologies—further accelerating the development and export of homegrown manufacturing solutions.
