
Kolkata, 26 July 2025: Kolkata shimmered with glamour and grandeur as the Chamak Dhamak Fashion & Lifestyle Exhibition made a resplendent return with its much-awaited Kolkata edition. Held over two days July 26 and 27 at the iconic ITC Royal Bengal, the luxury trunk show brought together an elite gathering of India’s leading fashion designers, lifestyle curators, socialites, and influencers.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of Shri Kalyan Banerjee, Member of Parliament from Serampore, who lent gravitas to an already high-profile affair. Prominent faces from Kolkata’s style and influencer circles Uzma Firoz, Naheed Begum, and several others graced the event, adding sparkle to the runway of revival.
More than just a glitzy showcase, Chamak Dhamak championed a noble mission to revive India’s rich fashion heritage, spotlighting intricate handwoven textiles, indigenous embroidery styles, and eco-conscious craftsmanship that are often eclipsed by the glare of mass-produced fashion.
Over 60 premium designer and lifestyle brands participated, offering exclusive collections that balanced traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary innovation. From timeless silhouettes to modern reinterpretations of age-old weaving techniques, every stall told a story of India’s unparalleled fashion legacy.
The exhibition was curated by Mrs. Arti Modi and Mr. Sumit Banka, in collaboration with Green Entertainment, the official event partner.
