BPCL Assures Steady Supply of Fuel and LPG Across West Bengal; Urges Public to Avoid Panic Buying

Kolkata, March 23, 2026:
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 energy major and one of India’s leading public sector oil and gas companies, has issued a strong reassurance to the citizens of West Bengal regarding the uninterrupted availability of essential fuels, including petrol, diesel, CNG, and domestic LPG.

In an official statement released on Monday, the company confirmed that its entire network of fuel stations and LPG distributorships across the state is operating normally and efficiently. BPCL emphasized that there has been no disruption in supply and that all operational systems are functioning smoothly to meet the existing and anticipated demand of consumers.

The company further highlighted that its robust and well-integrated supply chain mechanism continues to ensure seamless transportation and distribution of petroleum products across urban as well as rural areas of West Bengal. From refineries to retail outlets, BPCL’s logistics and distribution network remains fully active, ensuring that consumers have uninterrupted access to fuel and cooking gas.

Senior officials from BPCL noted that adequate stock levels of petrol, diesel, and LPG are being maintained at all key supply points, including depots and distribution centers. The company has also taken proactive measures to monitor demand patterns closely and respond swiftly to any fluctuations, ensuring that supply remains balanced and sufficient at all times.

Amid growing concerns and misinformation in certain quarters, BPCL has categorically stated that there is no shortage of fuel or LPG in the state. The company has appealed to citizens not to engage in panic buying or unnecessary stockpiling, as such actions could create artificial demand pressure and inconvenience other consumers.

“Supply remains stable and fully under control. We urge all customers to purchase fuel and LPG as per their regular requirements and not to believe in unverified information,” the statement added.

Reaffirming its commitment to public service, BPCL stated that it remains dedicated to ensuring energy security, accessibility, and customer convenience. The company continues to work in close coordination with local authorities, distributors, and stakeholders to maintain smooth operations and deliver essential energy resources without interruption.

With a strong legacy of reliability and service excellence, BPCL reiterated that it stands fully prepared to support the energy needs of West Bengal and its people, ensuring that daily life and economic activities continue without any hindrance.
